FAQs

  • Absolutely! My heart is with the small, entrepreneurial business models. In fact, that is mainly the type of business we work with, and our business model of offering an affordable, flat rate for a comprehensive website package is what we find works best for small business owners. If that is still too much and you need something more basic, we also offer a comprehensive single page website.

  • In order to start on your new website design, you will need you to complete our (provided) content guidebook, which is what we’ll use to gather all your content (words + photos).

You’ll also need to provide your logos, brand colour palette, and fonts that you’d like used.

  • Your new website will be hosted on Squarespace. I find Squarespace to be the best combination of aesthetics, function, ease and form…without any of the stress or headaches that other platforms involve. If your site is an e-commerce site with a lot of products - Squarespace may not be the best choice for you.

  • This is the best part! Once your site is finished, I’ll train you on how to do all of the main updates - and your training call will be recorded so you can refer back to it whenever needed.

  • Not a worry! We’ll go over all of the pages you need prior to starting, and if you need more than what is included, we’ll talk this through and it will be reflected in your package and invoice. (Please be aware that increasing the page count may extend the two-week timeline).

  • No, you will be responsible for purchasing your own Squarespace plan and domain (although Squarespace does currently give you one $20 domain free for the first year!). One benefit to working with me is that you’ll receive a 20% discount off of your first year of Squarespace, and you’ll get a free domain!

  • Good news, Squarespace has this built-in! You can set it up yourself, or we can include this as an add-on to your website.

  • Planning for Google is as important as creating for your future customers! We include basic SEO on all websites. Keep in mind that SEO is a marathon, not a sprint, and to rank well on Google requires following the SEO plan we recommend for you.

  • Absolutely! We work hard to ensure your website is responsive on devices of various sizes.

  • I do! But more importantly, pineapples are the international symbolism of hospitality. In the 17th Century, European royalty would showcase their hospitality by providing the much-loved pineapple as a dessert course, despite the expense. Over the years, dinner party guests would even go so far as to rent pineapples in order to impress their guests and showcase their dedication to hospitality.
